I had an idea that I thought was a good one. I made 3 original Daisy themed art quilts, each one different from the others yet they clearly were made to form a cohesive group.

Summer Brings Many Art Events To Enjoy

In many communities, summer brings an exciting event, “Art In The Park”. You’ll notice it in a variety of cities, some small, others large.

In Las Vegas, my hometown, Art in the Park occupies several blocks. Art lovers pour in from everywhere.

They arrive by the bus load. It’s a “big event”.

These trees remind me of a fairy tale. Dust off your childish imagination, and enjoy a world where the trees have faces, and there are tiny stairs leading to their tops. Little creatures can make their homes among their roots, in all the little nooks and crannies. Enjoy the world of pretend!

I’ve been busy busy trying to get some of the projects I’m working on finished.

A Look Back Over My Shoulder, A glance At The Past

It felt good to have finished my Iris quilt.

It’s hanging in it’s new spot in it’s new home.

I did this commission for a friend, who commissioned it as a gift for one of her friends. It’s such a good feeling when you’re happy with the result of a work you started.

I think many artists are perfectionists, they often find it difficult to stop tweeking with their work. They’re looking for perfection & there’s always “something” think of adding which you feel would be a slight bInmo

find which you might would be a slight improvement, if you look long enough. Learning when to say “enough is enough” is hard to do

Time To Quilt

• It’s winter. You may stay indoors more. What does this mean to a quilter? More time for quilting, yeah! One of the art quilts I’ve been working on lately is this one with purple & blue irises.  I’ve made a lot of progress so far, so this a progress report.

Been out of touch, too much going on, my head is spinning. I’ve been working on 4 quilts, one of which is for a friend. That quilt is first in line. I’m having fun working on it. The other 3 can wait, they’re for my Etsy shop.They’ll get there.

It’s Blue and Pink and Finshed!!!

Blue and Pink A cherry blossom art quilt, it is a big size and all those cherry blossoms took a long  Time to make. I took the inspiration photos last spring and I have finally finished my art quilt. That’s a while.

I’ve had a few progress reports along the way, so I’m  sure that you have seen this quilt already.
